Residue Wax

residue wax, residue wax supplier, residue wax market

Foots Oil, also known as Residue Wax, is a byproduct obtained through slack wax deoiling or sweating during the paraffin wax manufacturing process. It is solid at room temperature and begins to melt at temperatures between 40°C and 60°C. Foots Oil has a flashpoint of approximately 250°C and an initial boiling point above 280°C. While it is not classified as flammable under UN GHS criteria, it will burn under certain conditions.

This product is widely used in the manufacturing of petroleum jelly, white oil, and other refined wax applications. It is further treated with coal, bleaching earth, or hydro-treated methods to meet specific purity requirements. Foots Oil is also used across various industries, including textile, leather, and rubber manufacturing, due to its versatile properties.

For safe handling and storage, Foots Oil should be kept away from oxidizing materials, with storage temperatures not exceeding 50°C to prevent degradation. Although it is stable and non-reactive, proper precautions should be taken as it can burn when exposed to heat.

Foots Oil is typically supplied in new steel drums. ISO tanks and flexi tanks are not used for its transportation, ensuring safe and effective packaging to meet industrial requirements.
